The fourth single from my upcoming record "When I'm Holding You, I'm Holding Me"
Hi everyone,
Today Tender Part, the fourth single from my upcoming record When I’m Holding You, I’m Holding Me, is released.
Tender Part was inspired by listening to a Song Exploder podcast episode where the artist Halsey talked about listening to herself and realising she was scared, even though she'd been trying to suppress it.
I still remember walking down the laneway near my house, headphones in, tears welling up in my eyes as I related so intensely to what she said.
I went home and started writing this song.
It's about letting myself feel all the feelings.
It’s about not being scared to listen to my inner voice and trying to stop protecting myself from difficult feelings.
Being brave means being soft, no more pushing through.
It's one of the songs I'm most looking forward to performing live at the launches
